Was 2011 a good year for you?
Yeah it was, actually! All things considered, I didn't have any major breakdowns so let's chalk this year up to a SUCCESS.
Where did 2011 begin?
At the humble abode, drinking champagne and eating a toblerone while chatting with some of my favourite people, followed by an hour long drunken phone call with my bff in the bathroom.
What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Let me think about this one, wait. Hmm, I can't quite remember what- oh yeah, single.
Were you in school (anytime this year)?
I spent a lot of time within the grounds of UWA, doing everything except getting an education.
How did you earn your money?
Answering phones, refining my polite conversation skills, doing a LOT of paperwork, reading Cracked in my spare time and getting free treatment at the chiropractic clinic I work at. Not bad.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
No! Omigosh, this is a MIRACLE. Best year ever! Oh wait, I did go visiting when Dad was in for an operation, he's the worst sick person ever.
Did you have any encounters with the police?
Nope! Unless you mean hanging out with my cousin who is now a badass detective and locked up Perth's most wanted (petty) criminal on the first day of her promotion. BAMF.
Where did you go on vacation?
Erm, I didn't. Sad face.
What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Uh. I was the lead in a play? I co-produced another play, wrote scenes for two plays, took a record number of pills, got a promotion, actually saved some money, put a team together and raised $2300 for the cancer council, completed a long transition into atheism, went to an anime convention, entered a cosplay contest and won.
What was your favourite moment of the year?
Oh man, so many! I loved production weeks for the three pantos (special mention to Space Hercules), the royal show, relay for life, seeing Tim Minchin perform at King's Park with a full orchestra, being surprised on my birthday with a trip to New York (and getting the naked palette on the same day, not gonna lie), dressing up and getting excited for the Harry Potter midnight screening, the aforementioned cosplay contest and getting pounced by excited convention goers all day, seeing Wicked again for the first time in four years and marathoning Nicolas Cage movies (seriously).
What was your least favourite moment of the year?
Being sick. So, basically all of it. But I didn't get Ross River or anything this year, so that's good!
What are your plans for 2012?
More panto stuff, eyeing another promotion at work, planning our New York trip, THE ACTUAL TRIP ITSELF OBVIOUSLY, hopefully tearing up Comic Con, getting way too excited about The Avengers and The Hobbit.
Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Mine has been increasingly dramatic version of 'Stop failing at life' for the past few years. I suppose I didn't do too badly, but there is definitely lots of improvement to be made.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nah, lots of babies at work though.
Did anyone close to you die?
No.
What date in 2011 will remain etched in your memory?
I'm not sure, a few of the days in my ~favourite moments~ list.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Uh. I suppose I did get the lead in a play and the DIDN'T DIE. I think everyone (including myself) thought I might die but I DIDN'T. No flu virus will stop me from BEING AWESOME. Also, working four days a week without too many sick days, and saving some moolah!
What was your biggest failure?
I got sick a lot, that's not my fault though right? So that doesn't count. I guess there's nothing too huge, which is GREAT.
Did you suffer any illness or injury?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ahhh. Hilarious.
What was the best thing you bought?
Health insurance.
Whose behaviour merited celebration?
EVERYONE'S.
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Is Kiara too obvious an answer?
Where did most of your money go?
Medical bills. An INCREDIBLE and DEPRESSING amount of money. I don't want to think about it.
What did you get really really really excited about?
Harry Potter, New York/Comic Con, other assorted movies coming out, fandom in general, gluten free buns at Grill'd.
What songs will always remind you of 2011?
The Tim Minchin vs. The Heritage Orchestra CDs and the Matilda OCR, they never left my car stereo.
Compared to this time last year are you:
a) Fatter or thinner? I ballooned out a little around the ol' tummy.
b) Happier or sadder? Happier I think.
c) Richer or poorer? Richer! WIN.
What do you wish you'd done more of?
Saving money.
What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being a sickly, pathetic excuse for a human being.
What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A life plan would be nice.
How will you be spending Christmas?
The usual way, lots of family, food, friends and fun times.
Who was the best new person you met?
Various new pantees.
Did you fall in love in 2011?
Nope.
How many one night stands?
Too many to count.

Parks and Rec, Community, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Doctor Who.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really.
What was/were the best books you read?
I read next to no books this year, ughhh I was so lazy. Probably The Hunger Games, which just goes to show how few books I really read.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
Does Matilda count, considering I was already extremely aware of Tim Minchin's genius?
What was your favourite film this year?
Lots! Captain America, half of Thor, Midnight in Paris, CON AIR.
What did you want and get?
A pretty good year all up.
What did you want and not get?
Idk, magical life winning.

SOMEBODY TO LOVE? Idk. Not being sick. Broken record.

Panto, friends, awesome social outings, having things to look forward to.

Tom Hiddleston THE CHARMING BASTARD.
Which political issue stirred you the most?
The ongoing gay marriage debate, and in a more general sense, the separation of church and state.
Who did you miss?
GEMMA. Our schedules clashed terribly and didn't see each other as often as we wanted to.
What was your best month?
December probably. Panto, Christmas, time off work.
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned this year?
Chronic fatigue is shit, but can be worked around.
Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
If you just close your eyes and block your ears, to the accumulated knowledge of the last two thousand years, then morally, guess what, you're off the hook, and thank Christ you only have to read one book.
